We are aquaculture technology & solution provider specialized in aquaculture system dimension, design, layout and installation. AQUACOM LTD’s products & technology includes; Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), Aquaponics & Hydroponics System, Cage Fish Farm systems, Raceways and Pond fish farms. We also provide general aquaculture consultancy; field assessment, business plan, commercial farm investments planning and aquaculture project design. For the past 3 years, we have undertaken projects (from smallholder to commercial) for both private and public investment in different region of Tanzania.
Opportunity & Challenge
The current fish production in Tanzania stands at 392,932 MT per annum whereas only 1% comes from aquaculture sub-sector (AFDP, 2020). The demand for fish is estimated 714,000 MT that need an increase of 87% in production to fulfill the state’s fish requirements. Recent development of aquaculture has potential to fill in the recurring demand-supply gap due stagnancy of fish supply from capture fisheries. Aquacom Limited plays a pivotal role to stimulate growth “productivity & competitiveness” of Aqua-business in Tanzania through sustainable aquaculture technology.
